Tel Aviv, June 2026 – The Israel Chamber of Commerce and the Foreign Trade Division of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce successfully hosted the Business Matchmaking Round for Importers with Latin American Representatives, an initiative that brought together Israeli companies and trade delegates from six of Latin America’s most dynamic economies.

Held on June 11 at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Tel Aviv, the event provided Israeli importers with the opportunity to engage in one-on-one meetings with representatives from Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, and Argentina, creating a unique platform for identifying suppliers, manufacturers, and new business opportunities.

Throughout the day, participants were able to present their import needs, explore alternatives to diversify supply chains, assess opportunities for commercial expansion, and establish strategic connections with trade promotion agencies and representatives from each participating country.

The success of this initiative highlights the increasingly important role played by the Chamber of Commerce as a facilitator of international economic relations and as a bridge connecting the Israeli business ecosystem with Spanish-speaking markets.

At a time when supplier diversification and the search for new markets have become critical factors for business competitiveness, events of this nature help bring together entrepreneurs, institutions, and trade promotion organizations, creating tangible opportunities for cooperation and growth.

The active participation of Latin American representatives underscored the significant potential for expanding trade between Israel and the region, particularly in sectors such as food and beverages, agribusiness, technology, manufacturing, consumer goods, and innovative industrial solutions.

Costa Rica: A Growing Strategic Partner

Within this broader context, Costa Rica’s participation held particular significance. The Central American nation continues to strengthen its position as a strategic partner for Israel, especially in light of the ongoing negotiations toward a bilateral free trade agreement. This framework is expected to create new opportunities for increased trade, investment flows, and enhanced economic cooperation between the two countries.

Positive Feedback and Future Prospects

Ms. Dayana Cordero, ProComer’s representative for Costa Rica in Israel and the Balkans, described the event as “highly positive” and praised the efforts of the Tel Aviv Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce in organizing the initiative.

She noted that the meetings held throughout the day were highly productive and helped identify several projects with strong potential for future development. According to Cordero, the event generated valuable connections between Israeli business leaders and Latin American representatives, laying the groundwork for future commercial partnerships and new business opportunities that could materialize in the coming months.

The Chamber’s Commitment to International Business Development

The Tel Aviv Chamber of Commerce continues to strengthen its position as a strategic player in promoting international business opportunities, providing Israeli companies with direct access to foreign markets, professional support, and practical tools to expand their global reach.

Through initiatives such as this business matchmaking round, the Chamber reaffirms its commitment to strengthening economic ties between Israel and the Spanish-speaking world by fostering new commercial partnerships, facilitating knowledge exchange, and generating opportunities that contribute to sustainable growth in both regions.

The excellent results achieved during the event demonstrate the importance of continuing to promote business networking platforms that bring Israeli and Latin American companies closer together, further consolidating an increasingly robust and dynamic network of cooperation.

With strong participation and numerous opportunities identified, the Latin America Business Matchmaking Round stands as another milestone in the Chamber’s mission to support business internationalization and strengthen trade relations between Israel and Spanish-speaking countries.
